WHAT I DID

I was cleaning inside and fixing cars

I went to a junk yard to look for parts for a Toyota and a Maxima 3.05. It was pretty cool to walk around and see all the cars and parts and how they were all organized by make, model and years.

I brought back the part which was a front bumper and help install it on the Maxima

I washed a car we brought in for fixing

I would bring the cars in and out for the owner to work on.

WHAT I LIKED / DISLIKED ABOUT THIS CAREER

I like everything about being a mechanic..

The only thing I dislike is working in the cold.

Average growth

Demand for technicians will grow as the number of vehicles in operation increases, reflecting continued growth in the driving age population and in the number of multi-car families. Growth in demand will be offset somewhat by continuing improvements in the quality and durability of automobiles, which will require less frequent service. In addition to openings from growth, many job openings will be created by the need to replace a growing number of retiring technicians. Job opportunities in this occupation are expected to be very good for those who complete high school or postsecondary automotive training programs and who earn ASE certification.
